Natural, Not Chemical

The GFA Range is committed to using the purest & natrual of ingredients.

The following ingredients are NOT used in our products for obvious reasons.

Ethoxylate Impurities
Ethoxylate Impurities are a large group of ingredients used in most brands of cosmetics worldwide. They have been shown to contain the impurity 1.4-dioxane, of concern to industry due to its status as a toxin and carcinogen known to be absorbed through the skin. Ethoxylates, which do not occur naturally and are petrochemically derived, are unstable and are known to break down in strong sunlight to form skin damaging free radicals. The most common ethoxylate are sodium laureth sulphate (SLES).

Propylene Glycol
Propylene Glycol is a petrochemicals derived humectant, (moisturiser) it is an irritant and should not be used by those who have sensitive skin. GFA use lactic acid as a humectant, manufactured by GFA using a natural, organic fermentation process.

Nitrosamine Impurities
The use of nitrosamine in personal care products is a major concern within the skin care industry. Nitrosamines are formed as pollutant by-products in a number of raw materials, particularly those containing DEA (diethanolamine). Nitrosamines are toxic and carcinogenic.

Toxic Preservatives
Preservatives together with fragrances are the most common cause of allergic reactions in skin care products. We do not use formaldehyde and the formaldehyde donor preservatives (including DMDM hydantoin, diazolidinyl and imidazolidinyl urea) and quaternium 15 due to their extremely high irritancy. We also avoid the parabens due to the recent discovery of their oestrogen mimicking effects. GFA products are designed to be self-preserving, using lactic acid, and low levels of safe product stabilisers enhanced by antimicrobial effects of essential oils such as sandalwood and water purified to the stringent BP 2000 standard.

Irritant Sulfates
Sulfates is the common name for a group of cleansing ingredients which are used worldwide by most manufacturers due to their low cost and strong cleansing power. The most commonly used sulfates are sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and ammonium lauryl sulfate. GFA products are sulphate free.

Artificial Fragrances
The term fragrance is an ingredient listing, almost always, denoting the use of synthetic fragrances, even if some essential oils are also listed as ingredients. Fragrances are known to cause the majority of allergic reactions and this is why GFA use edible essential oils.

Probiotic Skin Care

Skin, we all have it and we all want it to be beautiful because it is the reflection of our self-image, yet most of us know very little about skin or how to take proper care of it! This sheath covering our body is one of the most important and largest organs we have. The “epidermis” is the protective outer layer and is constantly shedding its dead cells whilst the lower “dermis” level just as quickly replaces them. The lower level is where the blood vessels, nerves, hair roots, sweat and sebaceous glands lie along with a supportive network of fibrous and elastic cells.

Does it make any sense that Mother Nature ever intended for the skin to prematurely age when she specifically designed the skin to continuously renew itself? If premature aging of the skin is not a natural function then who is altering Mother Natures plan?

When you understand what you have just read, it should become clear that it is the “dermis” or lower level we need to be nourishing and supporting instead of attempting to resurrect the “dead” skin on the upper epidermis level. Because the skin absorbs what we put on it, it is feeding off it! “WHAT ARE YOU FEEDING YOUR SKIN”? If you care about what you will look like in five to ten to twenty years from now, I guarantee this is the most important question you will ever ask yourself!

We all know our skin plays a major role in eliminating toxic wastes out of the body and that it absorbs a lot of the substances we also apply to it. If we overload our internal organs, digestive system and lungs with toxic waste, we can be assured it’s going to show up on our face! The same is true if we ignorantly continue to overload our face with expensive toxic chemical skin care ranges that give temporary relief to skin deterioration. We must come to understand that the skin IS a LIVING organism that needs to be fed and nourished, not subjected to pump-up cover-ups! The truth has been released on most current affair news shows throughout the Western world: 90% of the multi-billion dollar skin care industry is been built on harmful chemical compounds!

Our credibility stands by what is IN the product, not how we package the product! Most other skin care companies totally compete through packaging! They use chemicals that have absolutely no benefit to your skin and are in fact adverse to your entire body’s systemic health. For example, they use chemical fragrances, colour and emulsifiers to name just a few. We now know that they must list the ingredients by the chronological percentage within the product. A standard rule is that the first third of the ingredients is 90% of the formula, the second third is 5% to 8% and the last third is 1% to 3%. In too many products, 5% are active ingredients whilst 95% are carcinogenic, toxic, and/or damaging to not only your skin but also your health!

Beauty does begin within, what is nourishing the cells within your blood or killing them shows ever increasingly on your face, this is especially important when you realize that the products you use effect all your internal organs. Would you open any product you have sitting in your cosmetic cupboard, take a big lick and feel safe or good about it? Believe it or not, this should be one of your FIRST criteria’s before putting it on your skin!

If you can’t pronounce or don’t have a clue what the first three ingredients are on any product you are going to absorb, put it BACK on the shelf and run! FACT: There may be an quick fix in the jar, but you will pay a very dear personal price down the line much quicker than you think!

Why Probiotic Skin Care?

To answer this, we must understand the term “probiotic” and the vital role it plays in the human body. Pro means ‘for’. Biotic relates to ‘life’. “Pro-Biotic”= For-Life. For the last 20 years, our company has successfully developed the growing and harvesting of a super strain of friendly bacteria derived from Certified Organic Fruits and Vegetables that are then combined into nutrient saturated formulas. These result action formulas are being successfully sold worldwide to practitioners and the health care market to recolonise the friendly bacteria in the gut and deliver proper nutrients for the immune system. Due to the demand and need, we now offer the world’s first “ProBiotic” skin care, one that you could eat without concern.

We use 100% active ingredients derived from organic living foods to create our products. This means we use unpolluted ingredients derived from Nature not chemicals! Our ProBiotic skin care formulas have a sophisticated nutrient delivery system and acts as an anti-bacterial agent on the skin. Poor cleansings habits and unavoidable environmental factors attract and allow nasty bacteria to flourish on the face creating disharmony, the appearance of aging, and eruptions. Our ProBiotic skin care range kills all the unfriendly bacteria that do not live in harmony with the skin. It creates an anaerobic environment that does not allow nasty bacteria or skin fungus to flourish.

Your skin is the last port of call in the body for feeding.
